Project Ripple Effect
Students were challenged to practice "talking good behind someone's back" to cause a ripple effect of happiness. They traveled around the room and filled up every student's paper (which was affixed to their backs) with compliments. Students then sat down and read all the amazing things others think and say about them. After all of this positive attention, they were then challenged to fill in the bottom of the paper with a compliment to the people, person, or entity that showed them how to be that awesome. Great positive energy!

What Top Achieving Students Do
Grade 8 Banners
Each student chose and decorated a photography letter in the motivational phrases inspired by the Hunking P.R.I.D.E. motto. Not only did they represent part of the banner, but they each have a motivational message embedded in their letter to help them focus on their goal.

Veteran's Day
Students created cards and special messages along with Ms. Bateman's room for local Veteran's. The local chapter was very appreciative of the student's words of thanks.

Halloween Door Decorating Contest
Cup Pyramid Challenge
Students were given minimal supplies and had to work together to create a pyramid with six cups. There was one catch - they were not allowed to touch the cups with their hands at all or they would have to start over. Great communication and collaboration!
